Through the New York Land Program, Since 1984, OSI has protected over 116,000 acres in New York State. Through direct acquisition and conservation easements, we protect critical open space habitats and recreation areas, family farms and historic sites and partner with local and state government to expand parklands. Because land developed is gone forever. In New York State our primary focus areas are: the Adirondacks, the Capital Region and Kinderhook corridor, the Catskills, Shawangunks and lower Hudson Valley.
2011 SuccessesWhile much has changed in the world over the last four decades, some fundamental truths remain the same: people everywhere continue to turn to the outdoors for recreation and renewal.
2010 ConservationGuided by a long-term strategic plan, we have become more efficient conservationists. We're proud of the impact that every project OSI made in the communities in which we work.. |
